Behind the Visible Trailer Release

Last week, my husband and I officially released our documentary's trailer and launched our film's social media as well. For those that may not know, my husband Cort and I have been working on a documentary for the last two plus years to show what it is like to live with POTS and invisible illness. We hope our film helps to educate and create more understanding about this little known disorder. Since we dropped our trailer on August 18, 2020, we've gained a lot of good traction and engagement!

Within the first 3 days post launch, our trailer surpassed 55,000 views! As of August 22, 2020, between Instagram and Facebook combined, we’ve had over 1,000 people share our trailer on their own accord, 348 people saved our trailer post on Instagram, and we’ve received hundreds of messages and comments from people within the chronic illness community and their families. Several themes continued to emerge: people feeling heard, seen and represented, people excited to show their friends and families in hopes it would serve as a resource to help them better understand POTS, and people crying and feeling very moved. This is exactly why we wanted to make a film like this and it's been incredible to begin to get a taste of our film's potential impact just from the trailer.
